Hello all!
My name is Madison and I am a college student majoring in Secondary Education in English. I am in my third year of college. This semester I am taking a few education classes and a few English classes, so I am really focusing on classes that pertain to my major. I am excited to learn more about what I will be doing in my career, and I hope these classes prepare me for the future.
In this blog, I am going to be posting about what I am learning in my classes and how I am preparing to one day be a teacher. Hopefully it will be of some interest to other students who also hope to be teachers one day, or maybe just anyone who is interested in blogging or technology. I have never used blogging as an education tool before, but it seems like it will be a good way to interact with my fellow students, share my thoughts with them, and find out what they are thinking as well.

ReplyDeleteI'm new to this whole blogging thing too.. its something new and exciting though I think! I'm really looking forward to this and seeing what everyone else has to post! This, like you said, is definitely something you can use to connect with students. Different, yet still engaging!
ReplyDeleteSomething else you might consider is how this can be an archive of reflection. Anytime you learn something, be it from this class or another English or Ed class, you can reflect here and get feedback from followers. And suppose you keep this blog (whether you continue to update or not) it will remain online until you delete it. So it would be interesting to look back at this in 2 or 3 years to see how/if you can apply what you learned directly into your classroom.
